What is D.I.A.N.A.?
D.I.A.N.A. – Developing Inclusive and Accessible Natural Areas – is an Erasmus+ project (KA210 VET – Small-scale partnerships in vocational education and training project) implemented by three European organisations from Italy, Macedonia, and Spain to support the development of accessible and inclusive skills of those tourism operators who operate in protected natural areas.
The Objectives
The general objective of the project is to promote inclusive cultural participation in tourism and in protected natural areas.
How to do it? By breaking down the barriers, not only physical, and by transforming the limit into a resouce on which to base a tourism itinerary.
#1 Create natural attractions for all
To enhance the sustainability and competitiveness of natural attractions in Italy and Macedonia, while acknowledging the significance of integrating accessibility into tourist practices in natural settings and exchanging expertise.
#2 Promote a real inclusion
To consider the needs and perspectives of participants with disabilities and special needs by involving them in all the activities, and to help create inclusive environments that support the equity and equality of visitors to a territory.
#3 Offer new training opportunities for nature guides
To improve the skills of nature guides through training activities aimed at acquiring the right competences for the removal of communication barriers and the promotion of a more accessible and inclusive offer in natural areas.
